Blank-IT is easily installed without requiring vehicle modifications, and happily accommodates car mounts, laptop stands and 'swing-away' brackets.

Installing Blank-IT into an existing vehicle

If your current vehicle or vehicle fleet already utilises on board computing and you have a display visible to the driver, then Blank-IT is your ideal solution. Installation comprises of a hardware and software component.

The hardware installation is a matter of connecting the Blank-IT hardware motion sensor system to any available USB port. This can be either installed directly to the docking system, or if better suited then on an extension cable to any suitable place on the vehicle.

Using our network of qualified vehicle installers we can assist you to have the Blank-IT hardware component installed within 15 minutes, causing minimum downtime/lost revenue to your organisation

The software component of Blank-IT can be installed via a USB thumb drive, a CD/DVD or remotely using management software (similar to the software your organisation uses to install system updates).

New Blank-IT installation

With a new installation, the Blank-IT solution hardware component can be installed by your vehicle installer when the technology solution is installed. This may be when you have your docking station installed in the front of the vehicle, or in the boot/trunk.

The software component of Blank-IT can be added to your Standard Operating Environment (SOE), for deployment across the fleet. Alternatively, it could also be installed on an individual basis for each laptop or computer.

The software installation does not have to occur whilst the laptop or computer is in the vehicle.
