The Property Casualty 360 website has posted an article title “Hold the Phone – How Cell Use Affects Driver Safety“. This article provides an overview of the problem but also addresses some of the options for enforcement of Distracted Driving legislation and their effectiveness. The article views the issue from an Insurance providers point of view and makes some interesting points – particularly with regard to the role Insurers may play in reducing the distracted Driving problem.

Fleet Managers Call for Mobile Ban Proposal To Be Acted On

The Trucking Info website reports that the NAFA Fleet Management Association is pressing US Administrators to push through rules that would ban use of mobile devices by commercial drivers, other than in emergencies – NAFA believes such rules would assist fleet managers in improving safety.
